Arsenal transfer news: Gabriel Jesus of interest to Everton and Ipswich as Gunners consider Eli Junior Kroupi move – Paper Talk | Football News – Sky Sports

Arsenal’s transfer strategy is shifting under Mikel Arteta, with Gabriel Jesus now eyed by two Premier League clubs as the Gunners explore alternatives to bolster their attack. Everton and Ipswich Town have emerged as suitors for the Brazilian striker, while Arsenal are also considering a move for Lorient’s Eli Junior Kroupi. The developments signal a potential reshaping of Arteta’s frontline options before the transfer window closes.

Everton and Ipswich circle Gabriel Jesus

Everton and Ipswich Town have both registered interest in Gabriel Jesus, according to transfer reports. The Toffees, fresh off a reported deal for Arsenal midfielder Mattias Norgaard, are weighing up a move for Jesus as they look to strengthen their attacking options under new manager Andriy Shevchenko. Ipswich, meanwhile, are exploring a loan or permanent deal for the Brazilian, whose future at the Emirates Stadium appears increasingly uncertain.

The interest from two clubs reflects Jesus’ unsettled status at Arsenal. With Eddie Nketiah and Fabio Vieira also competing for minutes, the Brazilian’s role in Arteta’s plans has diminished. Everton’s pursuit adds intrigue, given their recent activity in the transfer market and their need for a proven Premier League striker. Ipswich’s involvement suggests they are targeting experienced talent to aid their top-flight survival push, with Jesus’ Premier League pedigree a key asset.

Arsenal eye Lorient’s Eli Junior Kroupi

Arsenal are considering a move for Lorient striker Eli Junior Kroupi, according to transfer insiders. The 21-year-old has emerged as a standout performer in Ligue 1, contributing with goals and physical presence in Lorient’s attack last season. His profile aligns with Arteta’s preference for versatile forwards who can press, hold up play, and link midfield to attack—qualities that could complement Arsenal’s system if Jesus departs.

The Gunners’ interest in Kroupi comes amid reports of a potential triple-deal involving other players, though details remain unconfirmed. If completed, the move would signal Arteta’s intent to refresh his attacking options, particularly if Jesus leaves. Kroupi’s age and development potential make him an intriguing long-term option, though his adaptation to the Premier League’s physical demands would be a key factor in any potential transfer.

What comes next for Arsenal’s attack?

Arteta’s frontline has been a talking point this season, with Jesus, Nketiah, and Vieira all vying for minutes. The manager’s preference for a high-pressing system demands forwards who can contribute defensively, a role Jesus has found increasingly difficult to fulfill consistently. If Everton or Ipswich secure his services, Arsenal may turn to Kroupi or another target to fill the void, with the club’s transfer activity reflecting a broader squad overhaul.

The Gunners’ transfer activity also ties into their broader squad planning. With predictions of a title challenge this season, Arteta will be keen to balance ambition with pragmatism. The potential Jesus exit, coupled with Kroupi’s emergence, could reshape Arsenal’s attacking dynamics ahead of a crucial campaign. The next fortnight will determine whether Jesus departs or stays, with formal bids from Everton or Ipswich likely to force Arteta’s hand.

Arsenal’s transfer window is entering its final phase, and the coming weeks will shape their season. If Jesus departs, Kroupi’s arrival could offer a fresh alternative, provided he meets the demands of the Premier League. One thing is clear: Arsenal’s attack is in flux, and the decisions made in the next fortnight will define their trajectory for the campaign ahead.
